Emerging Technologies #3
1. I'm exploring Pandora Radio.
2. Pandora radio is a free site you can go to. It asks you to type in your favorite song or artist and it makes a playlist The playlist is songs similar to the artist or song you chose and usually includes the artist or song you chose. It's a great device to listen to when you're sitting around doing nothing, cleaning, or even doing homework. Under the song playing it usually either has the lyrics to sing along or information about the artist or song!
3. I'd never used Pandora before because my room mates always had it on their computer and we all did things together so there was always music. It's so simple and easy to use! I love it! It brought back so many songs that I had forgotten about!
4. Try it out! It's fun and easy just type in a favorite artist!

Emerging Technologies 2 :Edmodo
2. This emerging technology seems to be great for teachers. It's closely related to an Oncourse, but for all schools, not just IU. The program allows you to create assignments, upload books, post comments, and even interact with other teachers. This program seems to be on its way to really revolutionize and show the difference between our generation and the one we will be teaching. This program allows for students and parents to stay on top of their grades and see what assignments are coming up. It's almost like a planner for teachers by including a calendar. The site also allows for you to take polls among your students or even other teachers that use Edmodo. In one alert I noticed that teachers can send their students text alerts on homework and what not. I think this program will be very useful now and in the future.
3. Everything on Edmodo seems very self explanatory. The only real issue is because I'm not a teacher yet I have no connections, assignments, or grades posted so I can't really see how those tabs work. The page reminded me a lot of a Facebook for teachers.
